Maloney, Edward J.




Ridge resident Edward J. Maloney died Aug. 18 at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He was 87.

Born in Brooklyn March 19, 1921, to William and Elizabeth (Rielly) Maloney, he had lived on Long Island since he was 3 years old.

Mr. Maloney worked for the New York Telephone Company for 39 years and retired in 1983.

He enjoyed playing pool, golfing and fishing.

He is survived by Frances, his wife of 63 years; his children, Kevin, of East Meadow, Colleen Wright, of West Islip, and Barbara Senese, of Port Jefferson; his siblings, Mary Shea, of Rockaway Beach, and Bill, of Port Washington; and seven grandchildren.

Family received visitors Aug. 20 at O.B. Davis Funeral Home in Miller Place. A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 21 at St.

Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Rocky Point. Cremation was private.
